It is indeed just a DLC but i would say it matters a bit more than just a DLC since the UCP came into existance. Its barely placed on crackwatch-like lists because the main game was cracked on day one since it does not contain denuvo, perhaps gets mentioned in a comment or two. I know it has denuvo, and its a lot of work to crack, but i just want to make it clear that there are some people (at least myself and and a few others i know) who are waiting for this title to get cracked. (summary: you can get main game cracked up to version 1.8 and DLC up to nothing) But here's the catch, there's this unofficial community patch, which seem to fix a bunch of these and make it a lot better game (some creature ability ideas i read from the patch notes seem rly nice), but apparently (please correct me if i am wrong here, i would like to be tbh), you can only get any benefit from it if you have the DLC and patch 2.2.1 or so. Also the thing that you can't really play it online with a pirated version because you have to block it in the firewall so it comes down to hot-seat/single player. I mean yes game is not polished as it could be, and lacks ton of active unit abilities that we all miss (ok at least i do), incorrect tool-tips/unintended behaviors of various things are present, it does get pretty annoying.
